Gorham Archive  – 1991 Baroque Angels 4th Edition – The size of this ornament is about 3-1/2″ Diameter.  The Gorham Archive Series started in 1988.  This is the 4th Edition  It is flat on the back side.  It is Hallmarked Baroque Angels, 1991, Gorham Archive Collection, Sterling, YR91/1.   The fourth in the Archive collectible series, the Baroque Angels ornament is a lasting reminder of the true Christmas tradition.  The word “Baroque”, like most periodic or stylistic designations, was invented by later critics rather than practitioners of the arts in the 17th and early 18th centuries. It is a French transliteration of the Portuguese phrase “pérola barroca”, which means “irregular pearl”.  The Baroque Angels ornament is handcrafted in heirloom quality Sterling Silver by Gorham’s leading artisans. Comes with all original packaging, pouches and certificates. This ornament is in perfect condition.  The Ornament has a place for a hook to hang on your tree.
