Peace Doves by Wallace 1971 – 1978 Sterling Christmas Ornament Complete Set of 8. This listing is for a Complete set of all 8 Peace Doves that wallace produced for this series.
This series of Sterling Collectibles celebrates the Peace Dove and all the renewed hope on Earth. The message “Peace on Earth” is inscribed on the back side along with the year.
The use of a Dove as a symbol of Peace originated with early Christians, who portrayed baptism accompanied by a Dove, often on their sepulchres. The New Testament of the Holy Bible compared the Dove to the Spirit of God that descended on Jesus during his baptism.
 
The sizes is about 2″ to 3″ High. Perfect size to wear on a chain as a pendant.
 
Condition Note  –  These ornaments are in very good used condition with both original boxes and generic boxes.
