2007 Star Sterling Silver Christmas Ornament by Hand & Hammer #3851. This limited edition collectible is part of Hand and Hammer’s annual series of Star ornaments. Made in sterling silver, the Star is a powerful symbol of Christmas. The Star of the East, often seen in pictures of the Magi, was the Star that guided the Wise Men to Bethlehem and stood in the sky over the manger where Christ was born.
In Christian tradition, the Star of Bethlehem, also called the Christmas Star, revealed the birth of Jesus to the magi, or “wise men”, and later led them to Bethlehem. The star appears in the nativity story of the Gospel of Matthew, where magi “from the east” are inspired by the star to travel to Jerusalem.
 
The size of this ornament is about 2″ Tall by 1-3/4″ Wide. Perfect size to wear on a chain as a pendant. Hand Made in the USA.
