​Moorish Star Weave Sterling Silver Christmas Ornament #2816 Hand & Hammer 2001.  The interlaced geometric knot forming the design of this sterling Christmas collectible is based on a motif painted on a 10th century Persian bowl.  Such knots appear frequently in the decoration of Islamic architecture and objects.  It is believed that the form may possess mystical powers.
