Audubon Swallow Sterling Christmas Ornament 1985 Hand & Hammer #0614. This sterling silver collectible was inspired by a watercolor by James Audubon, the famed naturalist. The swallows have a cosmopolitan distribution across the world and breed on all the continents except Antarctica. It is believed that this family originated in Africa as hole-nesters; Africa still has the greatest diversity of species.
The size of this ornament is about 3-1/4″ High X 2-1/4″ Wide. The Ornament has a place for a hook to hang on your tree. Perfect size to wear as a pendant on a chain or ribbon.
