Description

South Carolina State House 1990 Sterling Christmas Ornament.  In 1786, two years before the U.S. Constitution was ratified, the S.C. General Assembly chose the site for the State House.  Construction on the actual State House did not begin until 1855 and was not finished until well after the Civil War.  Some damage was sustained during the war as the result of shelling by General Sherman’s troops.    This sterling silver collectible was produced by the artisans at Hand & Hammer Silversmiths exclusively for Jeff Stewart Antiques and Collectibles. 
The size is approximately 2-3/4″ x 1-1/4″. It has a place for a ribbon or hook for hanging on your tree or wearing it as a piece of jewelry on a chain or ribbon.   This ornament comes with original box and papers.
